The ACA open enrollment begins November 1, 2019. and continues through December 15, 2019 You may still be eligible for coverage outside of open enrollment with a special enrollment period for certain life qualifying events or you may acquire

MinimumEssential Coverage, the type of coverage an individual needs to have to meet the individual responsibility requirement under the Affordable Care Act. This includes individual market policies, job-based coverage, Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, TRICARE and certain other coverage.


The new Medicare AEP season will start on October 15, 2019 and end December 07,2019 The coverage would then start January 1st of the following year or the first day of the month following the month you enroll in 2018.

Medicare:

The Annual Open-enrollment Period starts January 1st and ends March 31st. During this period you are allowed to switch Medicare Advantage plans or go back to original Medicare. You may also enroll in a Medicare prescription drug plan when you drop the Medicare Advantage plan.


If you are new to Medicare your initial coverage election period will start three months before the month you turn 65 or start on Medicare part B.
